We do love Corps of Engineer parks
Maybe it will change, but we love to just sit and look out over the water
So far we have been lucky to always park near or on the waters edge
With our America the Beautiful Pass we can have a beautiful site with
water, electric and sewer for a fraction of
the cost for commercial parks

We hosted several get togethers in the park
Many of them started out by bringing out the karaoke machine
You get to meet so many outgoing and friendly folks this way
The park was totally full ( mostly weekend campers ) and
there was constant activity going on and we met other full timers as well
I still feel that the way Susy decorates our site has a lot to do with the high number
of people that just drop by to visit
There were still crews in the park clearing dead trees from last years drought
We had to maneuver around fallen trees throughout the park
There was plenty of firewood the crews left beside the road for anyone to pick up
Or you could just walk the park and enjoy the fires of brush they were burning off
Next will be our forrays into the split personality of Texarkanna
