2012-08-07 Goshen IN

We arrived at the Goshen Indiana Fairgrounds at the same time several other RV groups were meeting
so we were privileged to set up in the center of the horse track
It was relaxing, watching the trotters work out

We met a Great couple in the fairgrounds
Roger and Sharon taught us several new addictive card games
We spent time with them nearly every evening and went out to eat at some nice local places

I forgot my camera again when we went to ShipShawana for a huge auction
I don't usually enjoy those kind of outings and this one was no different with the local flies in full bloom

While downtown for lunch we glimpsed a hot air baloon

While in the RV capital (which we think should be Chanute Kansas)
We visited the RV Hall of Fame
It is a nice museum that showcased the lineage of modern day Recreational Vehicles
I am still upset that politics has kept NuWa from being included
NuWa is not represented in the hall but has been making quality high end 5th wheel and trailers for
longer than many of the manufacturers in the hall

There happened to be a small RV show going on at the hall when we visited
Most of the units were weekend trailers and not made for full time RVing
Yep, we still love our RV and saw nothing to make us wish for another
There were definitely some interesting floor plans to look at like this rear slide out

and this one with a rear patio
The museum is in Elkhart county and there were several colorful elk statues on display

Yes we are really enjoying our new freedom and travels
Next up is Climax Michigan where we meet up with our friends Ron & Lois
Cya soon
