We arrived late afternoon at the Little River Casino RV Park
and before long the park was completely full
Paul took pictures of the Hauling Hitchhikers
and a picture of all attendees from the NuWa owners forum
There were lots of get togethers and happy hours to renew old friendships
and to make quite a few new ones

Many of us took a trip to a nearby town to see/hear the Clown Band

The entire band was in costume
We arrived early and visited and watched as the costumed players in the band arrived

There was lots of interaction with the audience
Some like Ron received special attention

We had Karaoke and Ms Susy provided the entertainment

A special Thank You goes out to Judy Bahnmiller for arranging this rally
She set up a GREAT deal with the casino that included
$10 per day free casino money to gamble and
$10 per day per person of food vouchers
that we could use in the casino restaurants
I am glad to say that it was fun to use their money and even take some away with us!!
Thanks Judy !!

During the rally we had trouble with our truck
The trailer brake controller decided to go WACKO
and was applying the brakes on the trailer without warning
We were already having another issue with the instrument cluster
intermitently blanking out
When it blanked out we had no idea of water temp or oil pressure/temperature
and no idea how fast we were going
So we took it to a dealer in Ludington
They ordered the new instrument cluster and brake controller
That was on a Friday and was to arrive on Monday, so we had to stay behind
when when the rally was over and others headed to the upper peninsula
Each day we checked with the Ford dealer and were told the parts had not arrived
Unfortunately the instrument cluster was lost in transit and did not get fixed
Finally we had the brake controller replaced and were were on our way to catch up with our friends

During our wait we enjoyed Lake Michigan and other local sights
I was impressed with how clean Lake Michigan was
I remember a time when I would be afraid to get in the water
They have done a Great job of cleaning up since the 70s

Tomorrow we are traveling along the lake shore of the upper peninsula
Cya soon
