We drove 8 hours following Lake Michigan around the upper peninsula
Can't find my pictures but it was beautiful and would recommend that drive to anyone
After spending one night at the Island Resort Casino near Escanaba Michigan we headed for St Cloud Minnesota to catch up with our group
We had reservations for 4 days to hunker down over the Labor Day weekend
It was a nice park and it was really nice after our catch up mission
to just sit for awhile
We had met a couple in Chanute Kansas 4 years ago
and they live near St Cloud
Jerry & Karen came down to the campground to see us
The St Cloud Police gave a nice Canine demonstration
at the RV Park
The handler put the dog through its paces
He asked for a volunteer to don a training suit and let the dog show us what he is capable of
After seeing how relentless the dog was its no wonder most criminals surrender when they know
the dogs are about to be released on them
Of course one of the toughest part of RVing is finding substinance
Here we decided on the Texas Roadhouse
Another night we found a good restaurant on the local golf course
We made new friends with Brian and Lee
Brian is one of the "Three Amigos" that administer
the NuWa owners forum and are Awesome people
After Labor Day we did spend a night with Jerry and Karen
When I was a kid my uncle used to take Me & my cousin to Minnesota
to Lake Osakis on fishing trips
Jerry said the lake was only a few miles away so they took us on a day trip
so I could relive those childhood memories
We didn't find the cabin we stayed in almost 50 years ago
but it was still an excellent experience for me !!
