We stopped in Climax Michigan to visit with our good friends Ron & Lois
and then travel together to the M&M hitchhiker rally in Manistee
Ron & Lois traveled a long way to come see us
I think it about 1 mile :)
Thanks Ron & Lois for opening up your home to us
and for the Delicious Steak dinner .. mmm mmm mmm
While showing us the sights in Battle Creek we spotted some hot air balloons
and Ron chased them down
It was really interesting to watch them maneuver and land in a local field
It sure looked like an impossible task and they barely skirted the high voltage lines
There were 4 ballons landing at the same time so we picked the most colorful one to watch
We spent 4 nights in Climax and then we were on our way to the M&M rally in Manistee
BTW the town was named back in the 1800s when the generally accepted use of the word climax
meant high point or apex
